Technology

As the internet matures the expectations of the end users, your clients, are changing all the time. It is the same for us, the web designers and developers as our clients demand richer sites backed by databases or content management systems. The good news is that we have a wide range of skills and expertise in the technologies that make all this possible and we already have clients running such complex systems.

The basic building blocks

Since the first days of the web HTML has been an underlying technology and it's specifications have been revised several times. New languages such as XML, XHTML and CSS have been introduced. As you would expect we have kept abreast of it all.

The real work horses

There are many technologies available to power your web site, in fact most sites will require the utilisation of several to realise their goals. Dynamic web sites commonly use a scripting Language like PHP, Perl, or ASP to name a few as well as a database to store all the data. E-commerce sites can be even more involved with the web site having to interact with payment processors and accounting or ordering systems and stock control.

The trimmings

We all like a little something to brighten our day or make life a little easier and that is where DHTML and javascript come in. Whether it is a menu system like the one used on this site or a piece of code you would never notice that ensures a web site looks just a little better in a certain browser.
